On the 4th of June Alex Lewis took part in the Welsh Stone Skimming Championships, defending his title in the mens category.

The Welsh Championships is held in a town called LLanwrtyd Wells which along with being the smallest town in the UK boasts other well known competitions such as the World Bog Snorkeling Championships and Man vs Horse as part of its annual events.

In windy conditions, Alex achieved a throw of 85 meters to secure 1st place with 2nd and 3rd place participants throwing 77 meters and 66 meters respectively. This is the first stone skimming competition help in the UK since 2019 due to the pandemic and hopefully more will be happening this year as things get back to normal.
