High Peak Liqueur – back in town

High Peak Liqueur due for reappearance after several years absence.

High Peak Liqueur

Several years ago, our supplier of the cobalt blue glass ceased to make the bottle that I used for High Peak Liqueur.

Since then, I have searched for an alternative. None met the criteria of a cobalt blue bottle with a satin finish. Until the latter part of last year.

One of our Show Distributors found a UK manufacturer who specialises in colour glass coatings – a few months later and I now have stock of the blue glass needed to make High Peak Liqueur again.

The only change in the appearance of the bottle is that there will be one slightly larger front label (easier to read)  incorporating the previous two front labels.

The price per bottle will be £25 including delivery – send me an email if you wish to reserve stock.

I anticipate the new batch being available in the course of June – watch out for the message from me confirming when we will have stock in store available for ordering.

High Peak Liqueur

For readers unfamiliar with this brand, here is the background to its creation;

The recipe is based on a dish from the Peak District of Derbyshire in England. The flavours are those used at the time that Blue John stone, featured on the label, was mined near Castleton in the High Peak area.

High Peak Liqueur is packaged in a stunning cobalt blue frosted bottle and has an alcohol content of 20%. This, along with the mouth watering vanilla flavour, means that it is very smooth and light to drink.

The High Peak Liqueur label features the famous Blue John stone, a translucent semi-precious mineral banded in blue, red, purple and yellow. It was mined near Castleton inthe Peak District, the only place in the world where Blue John stone can be found. Prized for ornaments and jewellery since Roman times, the stone has also been used more recently for decoration in Windsor Castle, the White House and the Vatican.
